Into a heating installation equipped with pump units mounted on a distributor, sometimes an “unwanted circulation“, pointed out in orange colour in the illustration, could start. In the above shown example, the circulating pump of the direct pump unit (P2) produces this circulation into the mixed circuit (Circuit 1), that, as a consequence, warms up. This happens owing to different elements: the kind of mixing valve of the Circuit 1, the position of it (open, closed or mixing) and the possibility that the circulating pump P1 is stopped.
To avoid the unwanted circulation it is necessary to put in the indicated position (2) an additional check valve, specific for the model of installed pump unit.
